MWM WORLD MISSION CONFERENCE
The 2010 World Mission Conference takes place in Swanwick, Derbyshire, from Friday 4-Sunday 6 June. The theme for 2010 is 'See what the Lord is doing - God's Changing Story of Mission 1910-2010'.
Methodists for World Mission traces its origin to the inspiration of the Edinburgh Missionary Conference of 1910. In this centenary year we join with others in celebrating, the story of God's mission over the past century, telling and hearing of God's mission in today's world and seeking to discern and share in God's future mission.
As Christians we are called to receive and share the Good news for a world in crisis. In this conference we shall share with participants from around the World and with out partners - USPG - Anglicans in World Mission, Christians Aware, The Methodist Church, Christian Aid, Selly Oak Centre for Mission Studies, and others in celebrating, sharing and seeking. We will do this through Bible study and reflection, story, music and drama, worship and testimony and all our lived experience. If you or your church has a story to tell or seeks to be more involved in mission this is for you!
